I'm addicted
Yesterday my sister asked me to get a picture of Elena because she needed a fix and it reminded me that I am totally addicted to her as well. I cannot get enough; I can stand at Elena's bedside for hours just staring and when I leave her I start to spiral down. Is it bad to be addicted to my kid? Are all mothers addicted to their kids?

ReplyDeleteOh, man. I swear I could spend entire days just studying Justin when he was a newborn. Even now, 2+ years later, I just love watching him going about the business of well, being him. You just watch them and take in every single little detail. I don't think that feeling really ever goes away. It's pretty awesome.
ReplyDeleteOMG! I still go in to Makenna's room in the middle of the night and check on her like she was a newborn. It's great that she goes to the preschool where I work b/c I can "spy" as she goes about her day playing with friends, running around or just sitting reading a book. I love it! And you will have so many more of these days to come, where you just watch them, its great as they discover the world around them!!
ReplyDeleteJust wait! It only gets better. :-) Tonight Oscar was building a tower of cups and whenever it got knocked over, he'd go "uh-oh" and I just wanted to eat him up. It was the first time I've heard him say it. Just watching him makes everything better.
ReplyDeleteI don't have one of my own, but I was totally hooked on all my nieces and nephews! I would be captivated by their every move...daydreaming about them developing their own little personalities.
